My name is Laura, I am 30 years old and I live in Hamburg, Germany, the town where I was born. During the last 10 years, I have moved to Berlin to study Chinese studies, went to China for almost 2 years altogether to study Mandarin, travelled in Asia quite a bit and came back to my hometown, where I live now.
While living in Asia, I discovered that the Asian culture suits me in many different ways, and back in (sometimes grey, cold and too serious) Germany I always miss a lot of things about it: the variety of food, the liveliness on the streets, the many things that seem possible over there.
I like writing ( I am sorry, if my English versions sometimes might turn out bad), good vegetarian food, trying out new cafès and restaurants, the sea, funny people, Yoga, soul music, going for walks, the fragrance of roses, literature, mangos, ginger bread and everything else that has cinnamon and ginger in it, travel- and culture documentaries, getting up late, tea, Mary Poppins, animals (especially dogs) and the sun (not the newspaper). I love people who are funny.
I do not like pork, arrogant and unfriendly people, cold wind, the smell of beer in underground trains and being hurried.
I am not good at getting up early, but in staying up late. In a way that´s good, since late at night is the time when I sometimes come back to writing, a thing, which I always wanted to do, but, somehow haven´t really done during my time in universitiy and the last 6 months that I have had my first full-time job.
